What you will do

  • Support repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and performance evaluation of laboratory instruments.
  • Schedule third-party instrument services and coordinate resources with laboratory personnel.
  • Write work orders and maintain accurate, complete records of maintenance, repair, calibration, and related activities.
  • Identify and manage equipment deviations, support investigations, and apply systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Execute instrument validation activities in accordance with GMP and compliance procedures.
  • Handle BMS and alarm-related activities while following safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a relevant field and at least five years of laboratory instrumentation experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Alternatively, an associate degree with at least seven years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with at least nine years of relevant experience.
  • Required experience in laboratory instrument calibration, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, logical planning, customer service, and systematic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to move equipment weighing up to 33 pounds, perform close precision work, and occasionally work at elevated heights or around hazardous materials.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LIMS and laboratory automation software, preferably Waters Empower.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with SAP PM and SAP QM modules.
