Production Specialist l

Location: Onsite in North Chicago, Illinois, United States. Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Salary: $16–$29.80 per hour.

What you will do

• Support setup, changeover, operation, and packaging of pharmaceutical products on automated and semi-automated finishing equipment.
• Perform housekeeping cleans, line clearances, equipment blowing, and 6S organization of parts and tooling.
• Complete quality-impacting activities including process challenges, parameter checks, sample pulling, in-process checks, and material accountability.
• Monitor production priorities, work with peers on finishing lines, and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Escalate safety, quality, technical, and operating issues to engineering, mechanical, and other appropriate groups.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, make adjustments, and communicate improvement opportunities through cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to maintain high quality standards and comply with site policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new applications.
• Standing for 8–12 hours per day and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work 40–48 hours per week, with up to 60 hours during manufacturing demands.

Nice to have

• Technical experience, troubleshooting aptitude, or a technical certificate or degree.
• Experience with POMs, SAP, or MAXIMO.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and procedures.
