Location: Bothell, Washington, United States; hybrid work with up to 20% domestic and international travel

Salary: $142,000–$238,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

  • Serve as the technical authority for certification compliance on aircraft integration and STC projects.
  • Exercise active FAA delegated authority as a DER and/or ODA Engineering Unit Member and issue compliance findings.
  • Develop certification plans, strategies, schedules, statements of work, compliance documentation, and finding-closure activities.
  • Lead certification activities across Software, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Structures, Seats, and Project Engineering.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, ODA personnel, and internal engineering organizations.
  • Support aircraft surveys, conformity inspections, ground and flight testing, certification demonstrations, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in aircraft certification, regulatory compliance, aircraft integration, or aerospace engineering.
  • Active FAA delegated authority as a DER and/or ODA Engineering Unit Member in an applicable discipline.
  • Experience issuing compliance findings and determining compliance for STC, aircraft modification, or aircraft certification programs.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Parts 21, 25, 26, 43, 45, 91, 121, 145, and 183, including FAA guidance, policy, Orders, and STC processes.
  • Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
