Network Automation Engineer

Hydra Host is building Brokkr, a bare metal management and AI Factory marketplace platform that helps independent datacenters monetize their infrastructure inventory.

What you will do

• Design and implement automation frameworks for network configuration, deployment, monitoring, and remediation across partner datacenters.
• Develop scripts, playbooks, and CI/CD pipelines for provisioning network devices and services.
• Integrate the Brokkr platform with vendor network management systems and equipment APIs.
• Troubleshoot L2 and L3 incidents and improve network performance and uptime across diverse hardware and topologies.
• Enforce network security policies through automated configuration and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and systems engineers to scale bare metal resources and design fault-tolerant network solutions.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Netmiko/NAPALM.
• Hands-on experience managing Cumulus, SONIC, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, MikroTik, or similar network equipment.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, REST APIs, SNMP, and Linux networking.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for network changes and network troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, or DevNet Associate/Professional certification.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code practices for networking environments.
• Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, or NetBox.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and proactive questioning skills.
