Accounting Manager

Salary: USD 105,000–127,000 per year, plus annual bonus

AWP Safety is a growing national provider of traffic control and safety services for public utilities and other customers across the United States.

What you will do

• Plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.
• Lead accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and financial reporting.
• Ensure accounting policies and financial statements comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement support for inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns and annual personal property tax returns.
• Partner with FP&A, support ERP implementation, and coordinate with external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least five years of related accounting experience, including two or more years managing others.
• Knowledge of GAAP, auditing practices, and applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and independent working skills.
• Ability to work at a desk and on a computer for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant designation.
• Experience with Great Plains, Microsoft D365, QuickBooks, TCR, or Visual Lease.
