Salary: $209,700–$293,750 estimated annual base salary

Company

hirify.global is building an AI platform for autonomous driving that enables vehicles to learn from real-world experience and supports scalable deployment across vehicle platforms.

What you will do

  • Develop, integrate, tune, and validate control, trajectory-generation, and action-processing algorithms across vehicle platforms and driving conditions.
  • Maintain the controls software architecture connecting AI Driver outputs with real-time vehicle actuation and feedback.
  • Implement production-quality, latency-sensitive control software in C++ for prototype, reference, and production vehicles.
  • Use simulation, closed-loop evaluation, and on-road testing to diagnose controller behavior and validate improvements.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to define controller interfaces, integrate adjacent systems, and enable new vehicle platforms and product features.

Requirements

  • Strong control theory fundamentals, with depth in optimization, model-predictive control, numerical methods, or dynamical systems.
  • Experience developing, tuning, and validating control or motion systems on real-world physical systems.
  • Strong C++ software engineering skills and experience building reliable production-quality systems.
  • Experience with latency-sensitive or real-time software and debugging complex robotic systems across software and hardware.
  • Experience with mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles, automotive systems, ADAS, vehicle controls, or safety-critical validation.
  • Hybrid work in Sunnyvale or London is required; relocation support and visa sponsorship may be available where applicable.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ISO 26262 or related automotive safety standards.
  • Applied machine learning experience or experience integrating systems with ML components.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hybrid working with in-person collaboration, remote focus time, core hours, and access to vehicle workshops and labs.
  • Meaningful equity and market-benchmarked salaries.
  • Learning and development budgets for training, conferences, and professional growth.
  • Health, dental, retirement or pension benefits, enhanced parental leave, therapy access, wellbeing partnerships, and team socials.
  • Relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable.

Hiring process

  • Initial recruiter call covering background, interests, and hiring context.
  • Competency interviews covering programming and code review, followed by deep-dive technical interviews on domain knowledge and system design.
  • Final interview focused on mission and values alignment.
