Maintenance Mechanic (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Delano, California, United States. Onsite, second shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM; schedule may vary based on business needs.

Compensation: $29.87–$33.06 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, repairs, and corrective work on automated food-processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Use thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonic technologies to assess equipment condition and lifespan.
• Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery and operate cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment.
• Improve equipment, documentation, work systems, and processes while researching specifications through manuals, schematics, parts breakdowns, and vendor communication.
• Create and update work orders in the computerized maintenance management system, request parts, document work, and train operators and maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective English communication is required; bilingual communication is preferred.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours, work at heights, climb ladders or scaffolding above 10 feet, and perform frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds above the shoulders and push or pull equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work continuously with required personal protective equipment in areas with moving machinery, high noise, low visibility, forklift traffic, and varying temperatures.
