Maintenance Mechanic (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Delano, California, USA; the required shift is 4:00 PM–12:30 AM.

Salary: $29.87–$33.99 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, repairs, and equipment improvements.
• Use thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonic technologies to assess machine condition and lifespan.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in an automated food processing facility.
• Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery and operate cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment.
• Create and modify work orders in the computerized maintenance management system and document completed work.
• Collaborate with facility departments, train operators and maintenance personnel, and escalate technical or procedural issues when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours, climb ladders or scaffolding above 10 feet, and work at heights.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, squat, work above the shoulders, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to continuously use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, and safety belts.
• Availability for the 4:00 PM–12:30 AM shift.
