Maintenance Technician I, Packaging

What you will do

• Perform preventative, predictive, corrective, and lubrication maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs to baggers, printers, CSMAs, weighers, and box formers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and dismantle and reassemble machinery.
• Collaborate with operators to improve equipment uptime and operating efficiency.
• Clear bin jams, rebuild rollers, and assist with equipment repairs and improvements.
• Create work requests, work orders, parts requests, and maintenance documentation in the CMMS.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience are preferred.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, rotating or varying shifts, and emergency call-outs.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 12-hour shifts and perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders or scaffolding above 10 feet, and use required personal protective equipment.
• Basic mathematical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
