Senior Manager, Technical Accounting (Solar)

Location: Flexible work arrangement: hybrid, in-office in Houston, or remote within the United States

hirify.global owns and manages residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar assets and provides asset management, accounting, and reporting services across diversified solar portfolios.

What you will do

• Lead analysis, interpretation, and implementation of complex accounting standards, including ASC 606, ASC 842, consolidation and VIE analysis, debt and equity classification, derivatives, impairments, and business combinations.
• Provide technical accounting support for securitizations, structured financings, capital markets transactions, tax equity structures, and complex solar legal entities.
• Lead or support purchase price accounting and post-acquisition integration for asset and portfolio acquisitions.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos, position papers, financial statement disclosures, and critical accounting judgments.
• Support IPO readiness, public-company accounting requirements, policy alignment, controls, and documentation standards.
• Partner with auditors, Legal, Tax, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Asset Management, Operations, and systems teams, while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful technical accounting responsibility.
• CPA certification and a bachelor's degree in Accounting required; a master's degree is preferred.
• Deep experience with securitizations, consolidation analysis including VIEs, purchase price accounting, and complex financing structures.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with SEC reporting considerations.
• Ability to analyze complex accounting matters and communicate conclusions clearly to management and auditors.
• Experience with complex legal entity structures, portfolio accounting, large data sets, supporting documentation, and automation tools.

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• Experience supporting IPO readiness or public-company reporting environments.
• Experience with tax equity structures and renewable energy accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
