TL;DR

provides full-service asset management for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar energy portfolios, including operations, billing, asset performance management, and investor reporting.
What you will do
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple asset-managed portfolios.
- Establish accounting processes and maintain general ledgers in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and ad hoc financial analyses.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax service providers, and other stakeholders on audits, tax compliance, due diligence, and valuations.
- Partner with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Legal, and Tax to improve accounting effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage, develop, lead, and evaluate accounting team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration.
- 6+ years of financial accounting or auditing experience, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm.
- CPA certification.
- Strong judgment, decision-making, multitasking, prioritization, and integrity.
- Ability to define accounting processes for newly onboarded portfolios using historical financial and contractual information.
- Ability to research and apply accounting literature, including ASC 606 and ASC 805.
Nice to have
- Renewable energy industry experience and exposure to HLBV modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, and/or Ramp.
- Experience preparing and reviewing consolidations for multi-tiered legal structures.
- Interest in using AI tools to improve accounting workflows and deliverables.
