Global Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist

Location: Office-based in Bellevue, Washington, United States

Compensation: $54.69–$68.37 per hour for U.S.-based candidates

What you will do

• Own import, export, customs, and trade compliance execution across North America, the Middle East, and APAC.
• Prepare and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, shipping instructions, and other customs documentation.
• Determine HTS/HS classifications, country of origin, Incoterms, customs valuation, and export-control requirements.
• Manage international shipments of hardware, server equipment, modular data center components, and other high-value technology through final delivery.
• Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL providers while resolving holds, delays, documentation gaps, and clearance issues.
• Build scalable logistics workflows, maintain audit-ready records, and coordinate requirements with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in international logistics, import/export operations, customs, trade compliance, or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs clearance, HTS/HS classification, country of origin, Incoterms, customs valuation, and international shipping documentation.
• Experience independently managing international shipments across multiple regions from planning through final delivery.
• Experience managing customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL partners.
• Experience with ERP, TMS, or logistics platforms; strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with export-controlled, dual-use, or regulated technology, including EAR/ECCN classifications, export licensing, and restricted-party screening.
• Experience with GCC/Middle Eastern and APAC customs requirements, high-value electronics, or specialized transportation.
• Knowledge of ATA Carnets, temporary imports/exports, re-export requirements, or IATA/IMDG dangerous goods certification.
• NetSuite, SAP, customs broker, trade compliance, or APICS certification.
