Operations Support Specialist (Hazardous Waste)

Location: Onsite in Dublin, Ohio, United States; travel may peak at 90%.

What you will do

• Lead new customer contract implementations and provide backfill support for OSS Site Manager absences.
• Support site safety activities and act as the corporate safety liaison to ensure compliance with required processes.
• Prepare Bills of Lading and waste manifests, and schedule transportation and disposal of customer waste and recycling materials.
• Identify, manage, and coordinate process improvement opportunities to increase program efficiency, enhance services, and improve profitability.
• Act as the site HR lead and corporate HR liaison while collaborating with leaders and front-line teams to improve staffing and work processes.
• Assess customer waste management equipment needs and support business case proposals for prospective and existing clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a relevant technical field.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to learn and apply RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations governing the storage, packing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Ability to obtain relevant endorsements or certifications, including RCRA/DOT certifications, as required by the scope of work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, build relationships, work independently with little or no supervision, and develop positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Ability to pass company physical and drug-screen tests and participate in the company medical surveillance program.
• Flexibility to travel, with travel requirements potentially reaching 90%.
