.NET Application Architect (.NET)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems using Microsoft technology stacks.
• Analyze requirements and create scalable application architectures, APIs, front-end applications, and cloud-integrated services.
• Implement solutions hands-on with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Review code, support deployments, and maintain high standards of security, observability, and operational reliability.
• Debug complex production issues and optimize application and system performance.
• Collaborate across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis through post-release support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications; the position listing also specifies 6+ years of experience.
• Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Web API, including dependency injection, async/await, and middleware design.
• Hands-on experience with Angular, React, or similar component-driven front-end frameworks.
• Strong SQL and SQL Server experience, including stored procedures, query plans, and performance tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Azure or AWS deployments, enterprise-scale reliability, security, and auditability.

Nice to have

• Production experience designing and operating microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployments.
• Knowledge of distributed systems principles such as eventual consistency, idempotency, and circuit breakers.
• Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar DevOps platforms.
