Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver

Location: Santa Rosa, California, USA

Salary: $23.50–$26.20 per hour; starting rate is fixed at $23.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead cooking, art, music, recreation, and life-skills activities in a day program.
• Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence, including communication and money management.
• Support community outings, volunteer activities, and participation at each individual's ability level.
• Provide personal care, mobility assistance, and behavioral support using trained de-escalation techniques.
• Follow individualized support and behavior plans and complete accurate electronic documentation.
• Drive company vehicles, prepare program areas, and help maintain a safe and consistent environment.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relevant hands-on support experience.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company van.
• Comfort providing personal care and behavioral support and responding appropriately during emergencies.
• Basic computer skills, strong reading and writing skills, and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs.
