Lead Java Developer/Architect (Java)

Boutique IT consulting company headquartered in the UK with offices in the US, Canada, Poland, and Colombia, delivering engineering, experience design, and product management solutions for complex client problems.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact and manage stakeholder expectations and business goals.
• Design solutions for custom medium, large, and enterprise applications.
• Provide technical leadership and oversee development teams across distributed locations.
• Spend at least 50% of the time writing code in Java, Node, or Python.
• Work closely with client staff and product teams as a strategic delivery partner and trusted advisor.
• Travel occasionally for business in North America.

Requirements

• Experience designing and building custom applications for external clients.
• Expert-level Java experience and experience with AWS.
• Experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Python or Node.
• Experience leading and overseeing several distributed teams.
• Strong consulting, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data migrations.
• Experience with Kafka or a similar technology.
• AWS Professional Certifications.

Hiring process
