Senior IT Project Manager / Program Manager

What you will do

• Lead high-visibility strategic enterprise projects and programs with executive-level accountability.
• Manage stakeholder and vendor engagement, including executive sponsor meetings and project health reporting.
• Establish and monitor controls for project cost, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and change management.
• Develop project plans, staffing strategies, lifecycle reporting, and long-term release plans.
• Coordinate day-to-day deliverables and cross-functional execution from initiation through closeout.
• Ensure delivery follows established project management methodologies and prioritization processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience applying project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• 5+ years of experience working in matrix organizations and resolving complex, high-priority conflicts.
• 5+ years of experience with system development methodologies for building and enhancing information systems.
• 5+ years of experience communicating stakeholder needs, facilitating working sessions, building consensus, and negotiating outcomes.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing data, identifying problems, developing solutions, and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Lansing, Michigan.

Nice to have

• Experience in a government or public sector environment.
• Experience in project leadership roles such as Project Manager, Program Manager, or Project Coordinator.
