Data Center Constructability Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Remote in the United States, with approximately 30–40% travel to project sites, fabrication facilities, vendors, and general contractor locations worldwide.

Starting base salary for U.S.-based candidates: $100,160–$125,200 USD for most U.S. metro areas. Other geographic tiers range from $95,152–$118,940 and $115,184–$143,980.

What you will do

• Review Leviathan and Galleon modular data center and site designs across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, piping, controls, ICT, and IT disciplines.
• Validate crane access, lifting, transport, laydown, installation sequencing, tolerances, fit-up, and commissioning strategies for candidate and active sites.
• Develop repeatable construction playbooks, sequencing plans, methods of procedure, readiness checklists, and constructability review workflows.
• Lead constructability analysis for new products and first-of-a-kind sites, including lift studies, logistics modeling, and site-specific risk assessment.
• Coordinate hirify.global product and engineering teams with fabricators, general contractors, local delivery partners, and multidisciplinary design teams through execution.
• Track constructability issues and lessons learned, review shop drawings, and provide final constructability readiness sign-off.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in construction management, constructability or buildability review, or design for industrial, modular, or mission-critical facilities.
• Direct general contractor or fabrication-yard experience.
• Working knowledge of modular and prefabricated construction, crane and rigging planning, transport, site logistics, and means-and-methods planning across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Ability to work autonomously and travel approximately 30–40% to project sites and facilities.

Nice to have

• CCP, CCM, or PMP certification.
• Experience with modular, prefabricated, ISO container, or skid-mounted construction for data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
• International or multi-region project experience and knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Experience with data center foundations, equipment yards, MEP and controls integration, and construction scheduling, cost, or logistics tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
