SAP Basis Administrator

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $75,000–$98,000 annually

What you will do

• Administer the architecture, installation, configuration, performance, and day-to-day operation of complex SAP landscapes.
• Operate SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and HANA database environments.
• Perform SAP upgrades, EHP/SP application, system conversions, copies, and cloud migrations.
• Design and maintain SAP high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
• Manage transports and Solution Manager ChaRM while partnering with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams.
• Support stable, secure, compliant, and performant mission-critical SAP platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of SAP Basis or platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong production experience administering SAP HANA databases.
• Hands-on experience with SAP migrations to AWS, Azure, or GCP and with SAP upgrades and system conversions.
• Experience with SAP HA/DR, transport management, and Solution Manager ChaRM.
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
• Experience with SAP RISE/Grow and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, hyperscaler-native integrations, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Experience operating regulated SAP workloads under SOX, GxP, or PCI requirements.
