Cloud Software Engineer Staff (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine, California, United States. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $154,000–$258,000 annually; final compensation depends on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, optimize, and maintain modular AWS-based cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate cloud architectures and improve existing systems.
• Build architectural patterns, proofs of concept, frameworks, infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and cloud platform tools.
• Ensure secure and efficient data storage and processing in line with cloud security best practices.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities, application deployment issues, and distributed-systems problems.
• Advise project teams and clients on technical designs, service deployment, backlog requests, and cloud best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 8 years of software development experience with languages such as Python, Node.js, PHP, or Java.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and deploying solutions in native AWS environments.
• Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, DynamoDB, Cognito, CloudFormation, SQS, SES, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native applications, infrastructure as code, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST/RPC APIs, and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, security practices, networking protocols, distributed systems, system design, communication, and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification.
• MLOps experience.
• Experience with ECS, EKS, AWS Lambda, or AWS SAM.
