Sr. Salesforce Architect (Salesforce)

Location: Home based in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. Remote status and role locations may change; relocation is not provided.

Salary: $115,300–$150,000 per year, with possible incentive and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and integrate secure, scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales, Financial Services, Service, Experience, and Marketing Clouds.
• Partner with stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
• Create architecture diagrams, design documentation, proofs of concept, prototypes, application and data architecture, and customer journey maps.
• Establish Salesforce development standards, governance, coding practices, quality controls, and release-management processes.
• Own the technical backlog and roadmap for a Salesforce cloud or program area, lead projects using Agile principles, and evaluate seasonal platform releases.
• Review designs, code quality, test coverage, security, integrations, disaster recovery plans, and mentor Salesforce developers and business analysts.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of overall technology experience and 4–6 years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one Salesforce cloud; Financial Services Cloud experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce declarative programming, administration, Apex, Visualforce, reports, workflows, assignment rules, and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps and release tooling such as Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or native CI/CD in a multi-org environment.
• Working knowledge of MuleSoft or equivalent middleware, REST/SOAP APIs, web security, SQL, relational databases, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Salesforce Application Architect certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• System Architect certification or progress toward CTA.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience with Shield, OwnBackup, or similar backup, security, and compliance tools.
• Familiarity with Visualforce and Aura for legacy maintenance.
• Experience leading or mentoring Salesforce developers and applying Agile frameworks.
