Staff Identity and Access Management Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Reno, NV or San Ramon, CA

Salary: $138,000–$173,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement and monitor access control policies, RBAC configurations, user access reviews, and access revocation workflows.
• Build comprehensive inventories of user accounts and permissions across organizational tools.
• Automate user provisioning and de-provisioning workflows to improve identity lifecycle management.
• Develop, maintain, and audit identity and access management security policies against compliance requirements.
• Analyze access logs, investigate suspicious activity, prepare compliance reports, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Lead identity-related incident response efforts and maintain response plans and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with identity and access management solutions, including tools such as Okta or Active Directory.
• Experience implementing RBAC, managing user lifecycles, drafting security policies, and monitoring compliance.
• 4+ years of incident response and management experience, including access-related security breaches.
• Knowledge of NIST, GDPR, ISO 27001, access audits, and access-log analysis.
• Ability to automate workflows with Python or PowerShell and produce technical documentation and user manuals.
