Sr. Governance, Risk, and Compliance Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $100,000–$155,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.

Cybersecurity company developing an AI-native platform that protects organizations from breaches and processes large-scale security event data.

What you will do

• Lead internal and external compliance audits and assessments with independent third-party auditors.
• Manage audit, certification, attestation, and compliance activities across security, privacy, and enterprise operational areas.
• Develop custom integrations between internal systems to transfer and communicate compliance information.
• Identify and build automation capabilities that streamline the audit program and integrate controls across systems and processes.
• Improve information security processes and perform governance, risk, and compliance activities as required.

Requirements

• Practical experience with compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27701, and ISO/IEC 42001.
• Experience assuring compliance programs and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with workflow automation and orchestration tools.
• At least 5 years of job-related experience, or a relevant degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Program and project management experience, including scope definition, work breakdown, critical path analysis, resourcing, risk management, and quality management.
• Strategic risk assessment experience and the ability to connect risks with tactical organizational activities.
• Experience with cloud environments and CrowdStrike products or services.
• Experience with modern AI toolsets for programming or compliance.
