Software Asset Management Analyst

Location: Remote within the USA; candidates must reside in AL, AZ, DC, FL, GA, ID, MD, MS, NJ, NC, OK, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WV. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $94,000–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Receive, validate, track, and coordinate enterprise software requests through fulfillment and closure.
• Request vendor quotes, coordinate funding, submit purchase requests, and assign installation tasks.
• Perform software standards conformance checks and route requests for licensing evaluation or Enterprise Software Board review.
• Collect and maintain software entitlement documentation, license information, installation materials, and supporting evidence.
• Reconcile entitlement data against software consumption or inventory data and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with government customers, vendor managers, CORs, product owners, procurement, technical, financial, and acquisition stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, information technology, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant experience in software asset support or IT service operations.
• Experience with structured intake, data entry, ticket workflows, customer communications, software fulfillment, vendor quoting, or procurement documentation.
• Knowledge of software governance, licensing compliance, entitlement reconciliation, and controlled repository workflows.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, customer service, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Federal or similarly complex enterprise software asset management experience.
• Experience with Flexera, ServiceNow Software Asset Management, Belarc, or Tanium.
• Experience with government software procurement or acquisition workflows.
