Salary: $100,000–$167,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do
- Design, sustain, test, and release core in-flight entertainment hardware line-replaceable units, with an emphasis on power electronics and power supplies.
- Plan and execute hardware development with third-party vendors, including layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype builds, and testing.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative tests on circuits, mechanisms, assemblies, materials, and systems; record and analyze test data.
- Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software functionality, and ensure compliance with specifications and product requirements.
- Coordinate product development, parts and materials planning, manufacturing, obsolescence, and supplier activities.
- Mentor lower-level engineers and designers, provide technical direction, and own product design through delivery.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of power supply topologies, inverters, converters, and single- and three-phase power electronics.
- Advanced ability to design and analyze circuits and equipment and to develop and implement test methods and procedures.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for design and qualification requirements.
- Highly proficient project planning and cross-functional communication, including technical reports and presentations for senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in mathematics, electronics, mechanics, and circuit design, plus knowledge of aerospace/OEM configuration management and FAA or equivalent regulated-industry requirements.
