Sales Commission Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Melville, New York, United States; onsite five days a week

Salary: $92,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions under approved compensation plans.
• Validate commission results through audits, reconciliations, exception reporting, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare commission accruals, reconcile related accounts, and support month-end and quarter-end close.
• Create recurring reports, dashboards, and metrics for Sales and executive leadership.
• Partner with Payroll, Sales, Revenue Operations, Accounting, FP&A, and HR to resolve inquiries and process payments.
• Improve commission calculations, reporting, controls, and compensation management workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, sales compensation, financial analysis, commission administration, payroll, or a related finance function.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliations, accruals, reporting concepts, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP, payroll, CRM, or commission systems, plus strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Melville, New York five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce, SPIFF, Workday, or similar compensation platforms.
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, technology, or high-growth organizations.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue-related compensation considerations.
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools.
