What you will do
- Own month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Manage accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and corporate card programs
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations with documentation
- Partner to improve and automate finance workflows using AI and automation tools
- Evaluate and implement emerging AI and finance technology solutions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit readiness, and special projects
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States
- 5+ years accounting experience in startup SaaS or software environment
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier)
- Strong accounting fundamentals and attention to detail
- Experience with financial audits and GL/ERP systems like QuickBooks Online
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
