Senior Accounting Manager (Fintech)

Location: Based in San Francisco, CA or remote within the US

Salary: $199,700 — $274,550 USD

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close across global accounting areas.
• Lead and develop a small team, setting clear expectations and coaching on technical accounting.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation to improve accrual accuracy and reduce close cycle times.
• Apply U.S. GAAP judgment to complex areas including cloud infrastructure, vendor spend, and leases.
• Standardize and govern global accounting processes to ensure consistency across regions.
• Partner with the Finance Transformation team on SAP implementation, process design, and testing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of complex global accounting areas.
• 2+ years of people management experience in an accounting function.
• CPA certification and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong U.S. GAAP expertise and experience with SOX compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Employer may require export control licensing).

• Experience in a high-growth technology company.
• Public accounting background.
• Familiarity with tools like FloQast, Zip, or Emburse.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI tools in a finance context.
