Staff Product Analyst (Workday Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking)

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; San Francisco, California; or Washington, DC. Must work on U.S. soil and qualify as a U.S. person; working on a U.S. visa does not qualify.

Annual base salary: $148,000–$203,500 for candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington; $132,000–$181,500 for the applicable salary range. Additional equity, bonus, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Define the product vision and multi-year roadmap for Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Translate stakeholder needs from People, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Operations into functional requirements and configuration designs.
• Lead business-process configuration, calculations, eligibility rules, pay components, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Use Workday reporting and analytics to identify trends, improve accuracy, and reduce manual intervention.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships and data flows, including providers such as ADP.
• Drive feature adoption through documentation, user guides, training, and compliance-focused platform improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience configuring Workday Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking, including business processes, calculated fields, and eligibility rules.
• Deep knowledge of Workday Payroll, pay components, taxes, Absence, Time Tracking, and global HR processes.
• Experience leading tenant configuration, UAT, and regression testing.
• Advanced ability to build custom reports, dashboards, and hubs.
• Strong stakeholder communication, troubleshooting, and scalable solution-design skills across global time zones.
• Experience working with Agile backlogs and iterative delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday integrations, especially Global Payroll Connect.
• Workday Extend experience.
• Workday certification in Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking.
