PLM Technical Consultant (PTC Windchill/Siemens Teamcenter)

Location: 100% remote within the United States. The position is full-time and direct W2. New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored; U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, install, configure, administer, and optimize enterprise PTC Windchill and Siemens Teamcenter environments.
• Lead PLM upgrades, migrations, patch management, environment refreshes, and modernization initiatives.
• Manage application and web servers, databases, file vaults, indexing services, and CAD integrations.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
• Develop automation with Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, and similar tools.
• Support PLM integrations, production troubleshooting, security administration, documentation, technical reviews, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise PLM platforms, with significant PTC Windchill and/or Siemens Teamcenter experience.
• Experience with PLM upgrades, migrations, patching, system administration, platform optimization, and enterprise PLM architecture.
• Knowledge of application and web servers, file vaults, indexing services, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and Linux/Unix administration.
• Hands-on experience with high availability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, performance tuning, and automation.
• Experience integrating PLM platforms with ERP systems, CAD tools, and enterprise applications, plus strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• PTC Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter certifications.
• Experience with large-scale CAD integrations involving Creo, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with ThingWorx, Industrial IoT, Digital Thread, MBSE, or Smart Manufacturing.
