Senior Software Developer (Automation & Integration)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada

Salary: CAD 120,000–150,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the technical direction of the process automation portfolio, including architecture, standards, patterns, and technology choices.
• Identify automation opportunities with business teams and translate mapped processes into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Design and build AWS automation services and workflows with Node.js and/or Python, including event-driven pipelines, scheduled jobs, and system integrations.
• Define data flows, failure and retry strategies, rollback plans, monitoring, alerting, and production-readiness practices.
• Partner with DevOps on infrastructure as code, deployments, environments, secrets, cost control, and CI/CD.
• Lead and mentor engineers, review designs, support incident response, and maintain runbooks and handover documentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• End-to-end experience building automation, workflows, and system integrations.
• Hands-on expertise in Node.js and/or Python, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, S3, API Gateway, and IAM.
• System design skills focused on scalability, reliability, failure handling, data, observability, security, privacy, and PII.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, third-party integrations, stakeholder management, and collaboration with business teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in casino gaming, online gaming, sports betting, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and AI/LLM-powered automation.
