Senior Software Developer (AWS)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: CAD 107,000–157,300 per year base salary for Canada-based roles; offers may exceed this range.

hirify.global develops software that helps innovators design and create buildings, vehicles, factories, and entertainment productions.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and operate a distributed compute system and related services used by hirify.global developers.
• Write readable, maintainable, and testable code, including unit and integration tests.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in technical and architectural decision-making.
• Automate processes, improve code quality, and troubleshoot production issues using distributed logging and tracing.
• Support internal development teams with technical guidance and sample code.
• Participate in production on-call rotations and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience with Go, Java, Python, .NET, or a similar language.
• At least 4 years of experience using public cloud infrastructure components such as compute, caches, and databases.
• Experience implementing unit and integration tests.
• Understanding of DevOps best practices, distributed systems, and production support.
• Strong self-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience building applications on AWS with ECS/EKS, Step Functions, or Lambda.
• Experience working with containers and Agile software development practices.
• Understanding of networking and security concepts.
