Technical Project Manager (TPM)

Location: Remote within the United States only; occasional customer-site travel for kickoffs, design workshops, go-lives, steering committees, and an annual company offsite.

Base salary: USD $125,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead delivery plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and execution for complex implementations.
• Guide customer-facing technical design and scoping, including integration scope, data flows, SSO/IAM requirements, security posture, and API contracts.
• Run governance across steering committees, working groups, sprint reviews, and executive updates.
• Orchestrate Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Success, customer, systems integrator, subcontractor, and vendor teams.
• Manage risks, dependencies, scope changes, timelines, budgets, RAID logs, decision logs, integration maps, and status reporting.
• Develop repeatable professional-services delivery playbooks and maintain customer confidence through transparent communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with complex, cross-functional technology implementations, including 3+ years owning scope, timelines, and delivery outcomes in a leadership role.
• Technical depth sufficient to read API specifications, evaluate integration patterns, understand SSO/IAM and data-pipeline tradeoffs, and collaborate substantively with senior engineers.
• Strong project-management discipline demonstrated through milestone plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and clear status reports.
• Experience managing customers, internal teams, third-party partners, and executive stakeholders up to C-suite or agency leadership.
• Direct experience delivering technology implementations for state or federal government agencies, especially in workforce, labor, education, or social services.
• Must be based in the United States; the role is US-based only.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with WIOA, RESEA, TAA, or other federal workforce funding and compliance programs.
• Experience managing systems integrators or subcontractors.
• Working knowledge of SAML/OIDC, IAM, REST/GraphQL APIs, ETL/data pipelines, case-management, or CRM systems.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program-management credential.
• Experience building delivery functions in an early-stage or scale-up environment.
