Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
• Develop optimized SQL queries, scalable schemas, indexing strategies, partitioning models, and high-volume database solutions.
• Build ETL processes, integration components, batch jobs, database workflows, migration scripts, and deployment packages.
• Analyze execution plans, troubleshoot production issues, resolve data integrity problems, and tune database performance.
• Implement database security, auditing, access controls, encryption, and reliable data management practices.
• Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, architects, QA engineers, and business analysts on enterprise applications, APIs, Agile delivery, and cloud modernization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience developing enterprise Oracle database solutions.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL expertise, including packages, stored procedures, functions, cursors, triggers, collections, exceptions, and dynamic SQL.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex joins, CTEs, analytical and window functions, query optimization, execution plans, and optimizer statistics.
• Experience with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or newer, including indexing, partitioning, materialized views, OLTP/OLAP workloads, and relational data modeling.
• Experience with ETL, external-system integrations, Oracle Data Pump, RMAN, AQ, Scheduler, database jobs, and Oracle development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with OCI Database Services, Autonomous Database, Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, OIC, Oracle SOA Suite, or Oracle APEX.
• Experience with financial, healthcare, insurance, retail, government, regulated, or compliance-focused enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of cloud migration, shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, or Oracle administration.
• Oracle Database Administration or OCP certification.
