Senior Software Engineer - Oracle Cloud Applications

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; four days onsite at the Lafayette Court location and one day working from home each week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance Oracle APEX applications, including pages, interactive reports and grids, validations, workflows, and shared components.
• Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions using packages, procedures, functions, triggers, analytic functions, and structured exception handling.
• Provision, configure, monitor, and support Oracle ATP environments, schemas, users, backups, and recovery activities.
• Build and maintain OIC Gen 3 integrations and REST APIs using JSON, secure authentication, and robust error handling.
• Apply secure coding, least-privilege access, secrets management, OAuth 2.0, data protection, and audit controls.
• Manage Git-based development, CI/CD pipelines, testing, releases, deployment documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Buffalo, NY four days per week, with one work-from-home day.
• Associate’s degree with at least five years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least seven years of combined education and relevant work experience, including three years in systems analysis or application development.
• Advanced proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.
• Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle ATP, SQL, PL/SQL, OIC Gen 3, REST APIs, JSON, and secure application development.
• Strong requirements-gathering, technical-writing, estimation, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, IAM, networking, compartments, monitoring, and logging.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, CI/CD, release management, automated API or UI testing, and performance testing.
• Programming experience with Java and JavaScript, plus object-oriented development practices.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, ORDS, OAuth 2.0, API gateways, Terraform, Vault, Functions, or Data Safe.
• Agile delivery, process mapping, mentoring, and presentation experience.
