PMRT - Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship is required. The role supports Arlington, VA and may require some travel. Relocation expenses are not compensated.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and sustain enterprise applications used for DoD/DoW program and financial management.
• Own application capabilities from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Develop APIs, model data, design Oracle schemas, write SQL, and investigate database performance.
• Contribute to Angular front-end development and participate across the full agile delivery lifecycle.
• Maintain build, security scanning, testing, deployment, and verification pipelines for government-approved cloud environments.
• Participate in architecture decisions, peer reviews, defect investigation, and technical demonstrations.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of professional software development experience with substantial hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, information systems, mathematics, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered with 11 or more years of relevant work or training.
• Recent experience with Java 21 or 25, relational databases, non-trivial SQL, and a modern front-end framework such as Angular or React.
• Experience delivering software through CI/CD into cloud environments.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with JPA/Hibernate, JDBC, Flyway, Liquibase, AWS, containers, infrastructure as code, and modern CI/CD platforms.
• Knowledge of security tooling, PKI, TLS, secrets management, FIPS-validated cryptography, STIGs, RMF, or ATO processes.
• Experience with federal financial management, PPBE, DoD/DoW acquisition, or production use of AI-enabled development tools.
• Active Secret clearance.
