NMSI Senior Module Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Shift 1 schedule.

Annual salary: $120,860–$170,630 USD.

What you will do

• Develop and execute tactical and strategic plans covering safety, quality, equipment availability, performance, training, and employee relations.
• Lead performance management, professional development, and employee relations for engineers and technicians in the Thin Films Metals Department.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure consistent execution and results across functional areas and shifts.
• Support factory and segment initiatives through participation in IMT, Production, and TMI teams.
• Drive operational excellence through safety, teamwork, employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering, plus 4+ years of process engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Alternatively, a master’s degree in one of the listed fields plus 2+ years of process engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong communication, ownership, accountability, problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Experience driving maintenance, operational, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work on-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on a Shift 1 schedule.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor process flows, equipment troubleshooting, and Model-Based Problem Solving methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with vendor field service engineers and manufacturing or engineering technicians.
• Experience as a Tool Owner or Process Owner during technology development or technology transfer.
• Technical experience with Thin Films processes and equipment.
• Previous team leadership, project leadership, or mentoring experience.
