Software Engineering Leader (AI)

Location: Hybrid work in the United States, with primary location in Hillsboro, Oregon, and additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona; Folsom and Santa Clara, California; and Austin, Texas.

Annual salary: $233,990–$330,340 USD.

What you will do

• Lead Analyzer and Debugger software engineering projects, including hirify.global System Debugger and hirify.global VTune Profiler.
• Set business vision, product strategy, and engineering goals based on customer use cases and product requirements.
• Partner with hardware, software, and engineering organizations to define products and prioritize high-value work.
• Improve engineering structures, processes, product quality, performance, and delivery predictability.
• Lead and develop experienced engineering teams across multiple software projects and locations.
• Mentor engineers and architects while fostering innovation and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of overall experience, including 10+ years leading software engineering teams.
• 5 years of experience in system profiling, power and performance analysis, debugger engineering, workload analysis, or compiler and library engineering.
• Experience setting strategic goals, driving execution, and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, partners, and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of AI/HPC and open-source ecosystems.
• Experience in AI, machine learning, next-generation technology development, and systems engineering.
• Experience balancing short-term team imperatives with long-term goals.
