Hybrid Cloud Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, adoption guardrails, and reusable reference designs across AWS, Azure, GCP, and selectively OCI.
• Design federated identity, SSO, authorization, cross-cloud networking, private connectivity, and zero-trust patterns.
• Establish infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies that abstract cloud-specific implementations where appropriate.
• Design cross-cloud data movement, residency, analytics, observability, security monitoring, unified policy enforcement, and FinOps practices.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including multi-cloud security models, KMS, and key management.
• Guide engineering teams, produce architecture artifacts, evaluate cloud-provider roadmaps, and translate platform developments into adoption recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Eight or more years of experience in cloud architecture roles and hands-on experience with at least two major cloud providers.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, infrastructure-as-code, and policy-as-code across multiple providers.
• Experience designing federated identity and SSO across cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, multiple cloud certifications, and a track record of leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.
• Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms.
• Experience with large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations or regulated-industry multi-cloud mandates.
• Public talks or writing on multi-cloud architecture.
