Security Cooperation/International Engagement (SC/IE) Subject Matter Expert

Location: On-site at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Compensation: $145,000 annually in Florida.

What you will do

• Support the S5 and Commander in implementing Security Cooperation and International Engagement priorities.
• Integrate inputs from SPACECENT directorates into synchronized regional, country, and functional Security Cooperation plans.
• Coordinate campaign support plans, country plans, annual engagement plans, implementation roadmaps, planning meetings, and governance forums.
• Coordinate with USCENTCOM, U.S. Space Force organizations, DSCA, interagency partners, U.S. embassies, Security Cooperation Offices, and partner nations.
• Develop Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation frameworks and identify validated partner capability gaps.
• Support key leader engagements, senior leader visits, conferences, exercises, wargames, Foreign Military Sales, and partner capability development while preparing executive briefings and strategic documents.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Security Cooperation, International Affairs, Foreign Area Officer work, Political-Military Affairs, Campaign Planning, or related Department of Defense functions.
• Experience supporting a Combatant Command, Service Component, Joint Staff, Headquarters Service, or OSD.
• Experience coordinating multiple organizations and integrating diverse stakeholder inputs.
• Experience developing strategies, campaign plans, country plans, or theater engagement plans.
• Strong executive writing, briefing, facilitation, and project management skills, with knowledge of DoD Security Cooperation authorities, Joint Planning, AM&E, Foreign Military Sales, and coalition operations.
• Active Secret TS/SCI eligibility is required.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in International Relations, Strategic Studies, National Security, Political Science, Space Operations, or a related field.
• Foreign Area Officer qualification or equivalent Security Cooperation experience.
• Experience with USCENTCOM, U.S. Space Force organizations, DSCA processes, AM&E methodologies, multinational exercises, or partner nation space capability development.
• Regional expertise in the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility.
• Foreign language proficiency, particularly Arabic.
