Software Engineer (React/Node)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 88,000–128,700 gross annual base salary, with potential bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable, resilient customer-facing applications using React and Node.
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs on AWS Cloud.
• Develop functionality across distributed components and services in a CI/CD environment.
• Write secure, tested, reliable, high-quality code.
• Support production systems through on-call operations, deployments, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, operations, and design teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience building APIs with Python or Node and customer-facing applications with React.
• Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Understanding of full-stack patterns including micro-frontends and backend-for-frontend architecture.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, XHR, and unit, integration, and system testing.
• Production experience with AWS services such as S3, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and serverless infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD and development tools including Jenkins, Docker, and EC2, plus frontend observability using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
