Operations Specialist (Accelerant Unit)

Location: Home United States; fully remote

Salary: $50,000–$65,000 per year

What you will do

• Act as an operational point of contact for carriers, underwriters, coverholders, claim handlers, and management.
• Coordinate collection of risk codes, policy information, classifications, bordereau data, claim documentation, and carrier approvals.
• Review claims, maintain accurate records in claims management systems, and organize supporting documents.
• Maintain program guidelines, workflows, operating procedures, KPIs, bordereau reports, and other carrier reporting.
• Handle collections and payment documentation within insured retentions and deductibles, including reserves of up to $250,000 or more.
• Support audits, file reviews, data validation, process improvements, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, and other program initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in insurance, claims administration, underwriting support, program operations, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of insurance terminology, policy information, and claims processes.
• Strong organization, communication, prioritization, and deadline-management skills in a high-volume environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate data and complete documentation.
• Proficiency with claims management systems, Microsoft Office, carrier portals, and related business tools.
• Ability to work from the United States during established work hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with delegated authority, third-party administrators, managing general agents, or carrier program business.
• Familiarity with bordereau reporting, KPI monitoring, and insurance data management.
• Experience supporting specialty insurance, transportation, or environmental claims operations.
