Environmental Business Partner, Senior Advisor

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility and residence in California

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year

What you will do

• Advise operating-unit leadership on environmental regulations, compliance risks, service execution, and delivery programs.
• Build relationships with internal partners, senior management, contractors, and external regulatory agencies.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing environmental programs, controls, and permitting requirements.
• Manage contractor procurement, including scopes of work, bid evaluations, cost analysis, budgets, and vendor performance.
• Implement process updates in alignment with Environmental Management System standards.
• Improve risk assessment and environmental compliance processes through data analysis, Kaizens, Lean initiatives, and operational excellence efforts.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in environmental compliance, permitting, or related fields.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance, environmental review, permitting, project execution, or utility operations.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities, and engaging operational or business leadership.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
• Unless otherwise noted, employees must work and reside in California; relocation does not apply to this position.

Nice to have

• Experience in program management, governance, portfolio management, or business process improvement.
• Experience leading continuous improvement, Kaizen, Lean, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, construction, utility, energy, environmental, or regulatory programs.
