Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States; listed locations include McLean, Virginia; Bethesda, Maryland; and Washington, District of Columbia. Remote employees may occasionally be required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.

Salary: $77,600–$176,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Explore, clean, analyze, and visualize structured and unstructured data.
• Develop algorithms, predictive data models, and quantitative analyses.
• Build analytical workflows and systems using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Work with clients to understand data questions and translate findings into objective recommendations.
• Integrate analytics into decision-making and mission-focused solutions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, or visualization.
• At least 2 years of experience using R for data preparation, ETL, or analytical workflows.
• Experience analyzing structured data and developing predictive models or quantitative analyses.
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical personnel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination. Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice to have

• Power BI dashboard and analytical visualization experience.
• Python, SQL, NoSQL, relational databases, Oracle, Linux, Databricks, or GitHub experience.
• Experience with anomaly detection, fraud-risk scoring, or integrating analytics into mission systems and automated workflows.
• Master’s degree.
