Revenue Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Remote, US-based only. Applicants must be based in the US and authorized to work in the US at the time of hire.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 base annually plus bonus.

What you will do

• Review closed Salesforce opportunities daily for accurate booking and compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Record credit memos and prepare monthly revenue accruals, ensuring transactions are recognized in the correct period.
• Reconcile subledger details with general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Produce monthly MRR and ARR reporting, analyzing new business, expansion, churn, price increases, and organic growth.
• Maintain commissions, quota-credit, deal-categorization, Google Sheets, and MRR data in partnership with Sales and Revenue Operations.
• Support external audits and reconcile New Bookings reports, using AI tools to improve the workflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of revenue accounting or general accounting experience; SaaS experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Required experience with Salesforce and CPQ systems.
• Strong Excel skills, including formula-driven reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Must be based in the US, authorized to work in the US, and able to work without visa sponsorship.

• Experience with Chargebee billing and deferred revenue systems.
