Senior Forged Component Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: hirify.global's Cienega de Flores campus, Cienega de Flores, Nuevo León, Mexico. The role may require up to 20% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of gears, shafts, and other forged drivetrain components.
• Create new component designs and resolve manufacturing or build-sequence issues.
• Ensure design acceptance and manufacturing readiness for new and existing products.
• Support new product introduction, current product improvement, new source introduction, and cost and quality controls.
• Adopt automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, marketing, purchasing, manufacturing, and dealer-facing functions on design solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited program.
• Intermediate to advanced English-speaking ability required.
• Knowledge of information capture, standard operating procedures, analytical thinking, and effective communication.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability, manufacturing engineering, product testing, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work at the Cienega de Flores campus in Mexico and travel domestically and internationally as required.

• Powertrain design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of gear, shaft, and forging design.
• Knowledge of gear, shaft, and forging manufacturing processes.
• Metallurgical knowledge.
• Project management skills.
