What you will do

• Provide real-time compliance advice to FICC and Equities business units on European rules, regulations, and internal policies.
• Assess regulatory changes, compliance risks, and their impact on EU trading businesses and new initiatives.
• Develop and deploy second-line controls and support first-line control development.
• Review algorithms, electronic business initiatives, marketing materials, new activities committee memos, and policy or conduct violations.
• Coordinate with Legal, Controllers, Internal Audit, Technology, Operations, and Compliance teams to resolve compliance matters.
• Support regulatory, exchange, and audit enquiries, monitoring and testing, suspicious transaction reviews, training, and policy updates.

Requirements

• Analyst-level profile with a degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in financial markets, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Understanding or awareness of EU regulations including MiFID II, MAR, Benchmarks, EMIR, and CSDR; French regulatory requirements; and major US regulations such as Dodd-Frank, CFTC, and SEC rules.
• Ability to analyze large volumes of information, identify key points, communicate clearly, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across divisions and regions, make sound risk decisions, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Fluent English required. French or German is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Compliance experience on a trading floor or in sophisticated algorithmic, electronic, financing, or trading environments.
• CISI Diploma, CFA, or AMF certification.
