Global Sustainability Compliance Specialist (Packaging)

Location: Onsite in Hockenheim, Germany or Paris, France; willingness to travel approximately 10% required

What you will do

• Support the global sustainable packaging strategy and business-unit regulatory requirements.
• Review packaging-related legal requirements, including PPWR, EPR, CSRD, EUDR, CSDDD, and EmpCo, and coordinate implementation with internal stakeholders.
• Analyze market and customer insights to support sustainable products that meet legal, market, and corporate requirements.
• Manage customer requests and improve documentation and feedback processes using modern IT tools.
• Represent hirify.global in selected packaging-industry associations and contribute to relevant focus areas.
• Support sustainability guidelines, webinars, trainings, newsletters, recyclability trials, and global SEDEX/SMETA coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability or a related background.
• 2–4 years of experience in sustainability and/or regulatory compliance, preferably in packaging.
• Native language plus English required.
• Ability to identify and analyze legislation, industry standards, and sustainability information.
• Strong communication, networking, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to mediate between technical, commercial, and sustainability requirements.
