What you will do

• Originate, analyze, structure, and close profitable commercial loan transactions.
• Build and service commercial business relationships and manage a loan portfolio.
• Underwrite loan requests by verifying financial information, analyzing statements, conducting credit checks, and meeting policy and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor existing accounts, review compliance and credit findings, and recognize and manage emerging portfolio risks.
• Make lending decisions within established limits or recommend terms to senior relationship managers.
• Coordinate attorneys, accountants, consultants, appraisers, title companies, government agencies, and internal stakeholders while cross-selling relevant banking products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 1 year of commercial or consumer lending experience.
• Strong analytical, credit, interpersonal, and sales skills.
• Ability to negotiate, structure, and close commercial loan transactions and present proposals to clients and senior bank management.
• Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and credit underwriting practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn additional systems.

Nice to have

• MBA in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 5 years of middle-market lending experience.
• Credit underwriting experience or knowledge.
