Manager of Transfer of Assets (ACATS)

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of incoming and outgoing ACAT, DRS, DWAC, and non-ACAT account transfers.
• Lead, coach, develop, and hire the Account Transfers team.
• Monitor productivity, quality, straight-through processing, rejection rates, SLAs, and processing times.
• Drive process improvements, procedure changes, and operations-led innovation using AI tooling.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define transfer requirements and validate releases.
• Maintain transfer policies and procedures and support internal audit, compliance, and regulatory examinations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of hands-on account-transfer experience at a self-clearing broker-dealer, clearing firm, or custodian.
• At least 1 year of people-management experience with a record of developing individual contributors.
• Deep knowledge of transfer types, status codes, cycle timing, asset-level handling, FINRA Rule 11870, and NSCC rules.
• Experience with process improvement, risk controls, stakeholder communication, and high-volume operations.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced accuracy when working with large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets.
• FINRA Series 7 or 99 required, with willingness to obtain Series 24.
